What is the Culinary Job Training Program?
The Culinary Job Training Program at FeedNC is a 12-week job placement program that serves individuals who are unemployed or underemployed by providing life-skill classes, hands-on field training, and real-life experience in the culinary world. All students receive 300 hours of training. Students will receive 50 hours of life skills coursework, 240 hours of field training, and 10 hours of peer support. To graduate from the program, students must complete weekly readings, weekly journal assignments, pass 5 tests, and a cumulative final exam. Upon program completion, students are connected to local restaurants and business partners for gainful employment.
