John retired in 2023 from a 35-year career in accounting and finance. Most recently, he was the Vice President of Investor Relations & Treasurer for MSC Industrial Supply Co. in Davidson, NC. Prior to MSC, John served as an investor relations professional at both Tyco and ABB, where he received several awards from the global investment community for creating one of the top investor relations programs in North America.

John currently serves on two additional boards, both in the capacity of Treasurer. One is Royal Dunes, a resort company in Hilton Head, SC and the other is OAHI, a laser technology company with a cure for macular degeneration.

John is a proud graduate from the University of Georgia, where he earned a BBA in Accounting. He went on to earn his Certificate of Public Accounting in the State of Connecticut and is an alumnae of Arthur Andersen & Co.

John enjoys most outdoor activities, but like so many, has become an avid pickle ball player. He lives in Mooresville, NC with his wife Susan and they have four children and two grandchildren.

John joined the FeedNC board in January of 2023 and stated, “years ago, I participated in a one-day effort to paint the interior of the Mooresville Soup Kitchen. That was my first introduction to the amazing people and programs at what eventually became FeedNC. I knew then that I had to get more involved and joining the Board was one way to utilize my financial background to give back to the community. FeedNC does so much to assist those in our local community who may need a helping hand and they do it in a way that lifts and dignifies them.”
