Mimi’s Produce Garden

Mimi’s produce garden ensures that families in need have access to fresh, locally sourced food, promoting not just nourishment, but also the dignity of a good meal.

Composting Efforts

FeedNC composts food waste to enrich Mimi’s Garden and support fresh produce production.

Composting reduces methane emissions and nourishes the soil, helping provide fresh meals and groceries to the community.

Rainwater Harvesting

Collecting rainwater promotes sustainability by benefiting the garden, environment, and budget.

Our harvested rainwater supplements our drip irrigation system, waters raised beds and cleans tools. We encourage the community to explore this practice at home.

Gardening for Good

Starting in Spring 2024, FeedNC launched “Gardening for Good,” a course teaching proper garden placement, planting times, and accessibility. Through presentations and hands-on learning in our on-site garden, participants gain skills to grow herbs and vegetables from seed to harvest.

Our goal is to build confidence and support for starting or expanding home gardens for fresh, affordable food.
